San Diego, Calif. - Pull out your best party dress and get ready to romp with royalty at Vignettes, 'Queen For A Day' Valentine Soiree being held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 from Noon to 5 p.m. "What a day we have planned for everyone", says owner, Lori Chandler. "We always shine on Valentine's Day because there are no holds barred and we showcase anything and everything that's French and over the top. This year we're adding crowns, tiaras, scepters and sashes ~ one for everyone to try on and instantly become a Princess, Duchess or Countess, but, only the Queen, of course, had a Scepter! We like our customers to feel like royalty and this year we're showcasing those bejeweled items that add the glamour and authority women are searching for!" There will also be champagne, pink bon-bons and edible jewels. Adding their talent to the day are: Designer/Couturiere Holly Hess who is debuting her labor of love, a tribute gown in honor of Marie Antoinette. All hand done, custom sewn and needle-painted in the manner of royal period couture. This gown, that has been in the works for years, will be unveiled and revealed at the soiree! Artist/Designer Karen Lampard's imaginative and custom created crowns, fascinators and chapeaux made from papers, velvets and jewels. Designer Diva Danielle Forsgren modeling her custom line of rhinestone tiaras, crowns and scepters thru out the shop. Also being featured that day is Meryl Schoenbaum, Executive Editor of Romantic Homes Magazine who will be at the shop for a 'Meet and Greet' from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Vignettes is located at 4828 Newport Avenue, San Diego, CA 92017.
