Portland Show Big on Buttons and More

Portland, Ore. - Billed as the largest indoor antique and collectible show in the U.S., the Portland Antique & Collectible Show returns this Mar. 6-7, 2010, with over 1,000 booths and hundreds of dealers from all over the Northwest and beyond.

This year's special feature display is brought by the Oregon State Button Society (www.oregonbuttonsociety.org). Thousands of buttons will be on display including: advertising, steel buttons, military themed, Bakelite, figural (in shapes), ivory, silver and more.

Patrons will find a wide assortment of treasures offered, including pop collectibles, vintage clothing, glassware and old radios from the 1930s, antique toys, sports memorabilia and more. Classic collectors can look for sterling silver pieces, Tiffany glass, estate jewelry, bronzes, paintings and artifacts and toys from the 1880s to the 1960s. Home decorators can find furniture in American, European, 1890s golden oak, pine, mahogany and country styles.

The general public is invited to bring items for verbal appraisals at $5 dollars per object.

Additionally, look for a couple of very special guests - "Teddy and Edith Roosevelt". The former President and his First Lady will be playing the part at booth I-57.

The show is held at the Portland Expo Center, 2060 N Marine Drive, Portland, OR 97217. Show hours are Saturday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Sunday10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission is $7, good for both days.
