From the estate of Stella Wilson of Napa, Calif., will be several highlight lots: a rare pair of 18th century George III, giltwood five arm wall lights (est. $8,000-$12,000); a pair of Regency plum pudding mahogany side tables (est. $10,000-$15,000); and a pair of late 19th century, Meissen Limoges-style, enamel decorated porcelain urns (est. $10,000-$15,000). Two top highlights from private California collections will include an Austrian 800 standard silver, gilt, rock crystal and enamel dish made by Hermann Ratzersdorfer, a master silversmith who was active in Vienna from 1843-1881 (est. $15,000-$20,000); and a set of four, mid-18th century, Louis XV walnut fauteuils a la reine, upholstered in period needlework (est. $15,000-$20,000). Jeffrey Smith, Vice President and Director of the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department at Bonhams, says of the auction's offerings, "This opens the spring auction season on the West Coast, offering diverse, unusual and exquisite European and English furniture, decorative arts, tapestries, early work and statuary, providing a superb opportunity for collectors." Also featured will be a late 17th century, Spanish Baroque walnut table (est. $8,000-$12,000) and a chic and classic Charles X, inlaid satinwood, cylinder bureau (est. $6,000-$8,000). Decorative Arts featured in the auction will include a Louis XVI painted trumeau panel of putti en grisaille, after Chardin (est. $6,000-$8,000); a Russian 88 standard silver and enamel ladies oval dressing table mirror with tulipwood backing (est. $4,000-$6,000), made in Moscow in 1880 by Pavel Ovchinnikov; and an early 20th century bronze of an Indian chief on horseback, after Carl Kauba (Austrian-American, 1865-1922) (est. $3,000-$5,000).
