Duo of Auctions in New Year
 | | A variety of glassware will be offered from the estate of Martha Verville, Modesto, Calif. |  |  | | Rare Wooten Desk |  |  | | Oak sideboard with carved mermaids and dolphins | Hewlett's Antique Auctions of Le Grand, Calif., will hold two auctions in January. The first will feature a private, fifty-year collection of glassware. Predominately comprised of Depression glass, the sale also includes art glass, toys, salt and pepper shakers, Roseville and other pottery, lamps and china. This sale will be held Jan. 3, 2010 at 9 a.m. at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds "Eastman Building" in Chowchilla, Calif. This auction will be live with Proxibid.
The second, and larger event is Hewlett's annual "Great January Auction" to be held Jan. 17, 2010 in Le Grand, Calif. A larger variety of antiques furniture and accessories will be offered along with art glass, clocks, lamps paintings and even automobiles.
Highlights include two Victorian Wooten desks from the 1870's, several grandfathers clocks including a Tiffany with Mahogany case, a collection of oak furniture from the Midwest, a Victorian three piece John Jeliff parlor set, a fancy Hunzinger Bench, a 134 piece Versailles sterling silver set, and two Jensen Automobiles -a 1976 Jensen Interceptor III and a 1971 coupe.
From a Modesto Ca Estate we will be featuring a selection from a huge 60 year collection that has been untouched since the 1970's with many great Wall Clocks, beautiful Victorian Mantle Clocks, Art Glass, good Phonographs, beautiful selection of Oil Paintings plus a fine variety of lamps to include Victorian Hanging Lamps, Figural Lamps, Handel and more.
